Practice Areas

These Practice Areas are not all inclusive, but indicative of the variety of criminal legal issues that had been handled and that can be handle at our law offices. These areas include both state and federal levels of representation.
Drug Crimes

Drug related crimes are some of the most prevalent charges of all crimes here in the Texas. Whether marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, prescription drugs or other controlled substances are involved, we have what it takes to defend you. Mr. Báez has years of experience and success in criminal defense cases.

Assault and  Battery

Intoxication Assault is governed by Penal Code 49.07. This is a serious criminal allegation. It is often charged as 3rd degree felony, but can be charged higher. Typically, these cases are the result of a grievous error on behalf of the actor. The facts in these types of cases range from a car, boat, plane or other vehicle crash that result in a person being seriously injured.

Sex Crimes

If you have the misfortune of being accused of rape or sexual assault of any kind, you need high-quality criminal defense representation. Look no further than The Law Office of Edgardo R. Baez, Jr. Our past experience is all you need when you are staring down the prosecutor at trial or even as you enter a plea bargain or fight an MTR.

Murder

The punishment for murder varies widely. It can range from, considering the circumstances, quite minimal punishment all the way to execution. Throughout the United States, it is commonly known that Texas puts more people to death than any other states combined. So, if you have been charged with a classification of murder, it is something that you need the very best legal representation you can afford. After all, when you’re facing the death penalty, failure is not an option.

DWI Law

Driving While Intoxicated or DWI is a criminal specialty in and of itself. Police officers go through an intensive training regimen to become certified in Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Such an exact standard is set to help officers identify those among the population who have operated a vehicle after consuming too much to drink. Mr. Baez knows how to challenge these!

Motions to Revoke

Motions to revoke probation, or MTRs, are written instructions, from your probation officer to a court of law, to send you back to jail or prison, and a very real threat to your liberty. Oftentimes, this sentence has a portion of itself that hangs over your head until probation is finished. If you are out of jail/prison, and pick up another charge while you are on probation, then your probation officer may file an MTR.
